The exceptional player from Golden State, Steph Curry, clinched the inaugural Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP title as his team triumphed over the Dallas Mavericks with a score of 120-110, securing a 4-1 series victory.

During the game, Curry managed to contribute 15 points, nine assists, three rebounds, and three steals in his 34 minutes of play. Throughout the series, he maintained an average of 23.8 points, 7.4 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and impressive 43.9% accuracy from beyond the arc.

After being honored with the prestigious award, Curry expressed his feelings by stating, “I am overjoyed.”

Reflecting on the achievement, Curry remarked, “Being in this position is truly a blessing. It has been a collective team effort to reach this point, especially considering the absence of Draymond and myself in the past two years. Returning to the Finals where we belong feels special. Our loyal supporters and the experience of performing in this modern arena; it all holds a special place.”

Steve Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, emphasized Curry’s pivotal role by stating, “Offensively, he acts as our main driving force. Everything revolves around his performance. Alongside him, we have an array of exceptional players who complement each other perfectly. It all originates from Steph. His presence on the court disrupts the opposing defense, even on nights like today when his shooting may not be at its best. He forces defensive rotations, creating opportunities for his teammates.”

The Warriors demonstrated a well-rounded offensive strategy, with six players reaching double-digit figures, led by Klay Thompson who scored a game-high of 32 points.

Achieving a shooting percentage of 51.1% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range, Golden State dominated the boards by securing 51 rebounds compared to Dallas’ 34.

This victory marks the Warriors’ return to the Finals after their defeat against Toronto (4-2) in 2019.

Despite being the favorites to win, the Warriors faced setbacks due to injuries to key players like Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, disrupting their pursuit of a three-peat.

Steph and his teammates now eagerly await the outcome of the Boston-Miami series to determine their Finals opponent.

Reflecting on the team’s current form, Curry added, “Considering where we stand in our careers, maintaining such a high level of performance is remarkable. Without getting ahead of ourselves, our primary objective is to secure a victory in the Finals. We believe there is still much more that we can accomplish.”
