Fans React On Twitter To Rumor Of Doc Rivers Wanting To Trade Ben Simmons In Order To Get LaMelo Ball

Doc Rivers may have been served his walking papers with the Los Angeles Clippers, but he did not stay without a job for very long. Rivers reached agreement on a five-year deal to become the next coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. It also means he will return to the Atlantic Division, where he will be a principal rival of the Boston Celtics, with whom Rivers won an NBA title in 2008 as coach.

Rivers takes over a Sixers team that lost in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs and continues to consider changes to a roster that Elton Brand remains determined to construct around All-Stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

Well, according to former professional basketball player Rashad Phillips, things may be changing drastically very soon.

The self-proclaimed NCAA /NBA prospect specialist sent Twitter into a frenzy when he said Doc Rivers will try and trade Ben Simmons to Minnesota for the No. 1 overall pick in order to take LaMelo Ball.
