Two Women’s Alpine World Cup ski races were called off due to weather reasons. It’s the extreme hot condition that is said to be the reasons behind the event being called off. It was scheduled to occur in France, but now will be conducted in Italy. As per the International Ski Federation, it has declared a fresh schedule preparing six consecutive days of men’s and women’s world cup races in nearby destinations like Val Gardena and Alta Badla. It has been scheduled to occur in between December 14th and 19th.
It’s the lacking of snow at the women’s course at Val d’Isere made the event organisers call off a meeting, which is now going to occur next week. A downhill thus is going to occur at Val Gardena on 18th December, and also a super-G on the specific course on the following day.
Val Gardena last time conducted women’s World Cup race in the year 1975, which is evident through ski-db.com Alpine statistics archive. At the same time, Val Gardena is also going to host another event, the men’s super-G on 14th of December. Additionally, there is the classic Saslong downhill even as well, that is going to be held on the following day at the same venue.
On December 16th, Alta Badla is going to organise the massive event of men’s giant slalom. There is also a GS race that is going to be conducted on the next day itself at the same venue. It means there is a lot of sports event that is going to be held at the venue. The organisation looks fantastic, and there is a lot of passion already. Hence, there is a lot of spirits here, which is sure to make the event successful.
